Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system of large added value for users and to actualize simpler facilities and less investment for the managing group, etc., of the toll road by using a mobile communication system which is currently in use.
SOLUTION: A mobile terminal 1 mounted on a vehicle requests a gate information transmission device 2 to use automatic charging service and stores gate identification information on approaching the gate information transmission device 2 and receiving the gate identification information transmitted at constant intervals. When an even number (normally 2) of pieces of gate identification information are stored, the mobile terminal 1 transmits the even number of gate identification information as gate information to a charging device 5 additionally to its mobile terminal identification information. The gate information transmission device 2, on the other hand, opens and closes the gate once receiving the request to use the automatic charging service from the mobile terminal 1, thereby allowing the vehicle to pass. The charging device 5 calculates a toll for the toll road according to the gate information from the terminal device 1.
