Abstract:
To improve the security of a system used in common by vehicles.
A vehicle security system which protects a vehicle not monitored by an attendant is constituted in such a way that a computer system set up in the vehicle compares user ID information inputted from a user and ID information received from a central-station computer and to be inputted from the user and, when both information are coincident with each other, issues a command for canceling the locked state of the doors of the vehicle. In addition, the computer system issues a use-of-vehicle permitting command upon receiving a PIN verifying signal from the central-station computer.
