In the system notebook wherein three peripheral side portions of a front cover part 3 and three peripheral side portions of a back cover part 4 in the cover body 1 are made openable and closable mutually by the slide fastener, the slide fastener 6 is constituted of one tape 7 fitted with teeth 8 along a lateral edge portion on one side and of a slider 9. One end of the tape 7 being positioned at the lower side portion 10 of the shelfback part 2 in the cover body 1, the tape 7 is fitted sequentially and consecutively, from the position, to the lower side portion 11, lateral side portion 12 and upper side portion 13 of the front cover part 3, the upper side portion 14 of the shelfback part 2 and the upper side portion 15, lateral side portion 16 and lower side portion 17 of the back cover part 4. Then, the other end of the tape 7 is returned to the lower side portion 10 of the shelfback part 2 and both ends of the tape 7 are disposed at the same position.
