PURPOSE: To ensure the start of the printing invariably at the initial line regardless of the position of loading paper by controlling a printer depending on a signal in the detection of holes on a recording paper.
CONSTITUTION: After loaded, a recording paper 1 is sent in the direction of the arrow. The hole 5 is detected past a detector 6 and the detection signal is transmitted to a control section via a position detecting circuit. The control section computes the time at which the initial printing line on the paper 1 reaches the printing section 3 from the detection of the positioning hole 5 with the detection 6 according to the detection signal. It controls the printing section driving circuit to ensure that printing starts upon the arrival of the initial printing line at the printing section 3. This enables starting of printing at the specified initial printing line regardless of the displacement in the loading of the paper 1.
