Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict lighting more accurately using simple and inexpensive facilities.
SOLUTION: Tracking is made to exceed a specific number of times to a thundercloud cell that is discriminated by a thundercloud cell discrimination part 12 by a lighting judgment processing part 13, the history of lighting parameters required for judging lighting, such as the amount of integrated moisture in a perpendicular direction, maximum rainfall strength, cloud top temperature, and maximum rainfall strength layer temperature, corresponding to the thundercloud cell obtained by an operation part 11, is retained at a tracking period memory, history parameter data corresponding to the thundercloud cell are compared with a lighting statistical model which is created based on past observation data at a lighting statistical model creation part 14, and lighting within 60 minutes is judged, based on the comparison result.
