Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a registering work without taking out merchandise in a basket by using a radio tag, and to exactly check the registration of an erroneous merchandise price due to the trouble of radio communication or the intentional exchange of the radio tag with that of another merchandise by a customer.
SOLUTION: The weight of a basket in which merchandise is present is measured by a gravimeter (S1). Then, inquiry for the radio tag of the merchandise in the basket is operated by a radio tag reader, a merchandise identification code is received, and when a merchandise weight value is present, it is also received (S2). The merchandise name and merchandise price of the pertinent merchandise are read out of a merchandise information file by the received merchandise identification code, and when the merchandise weight value is present, it is also read (S3). Those merchandise name, merchandise price, and merchandise weight value are registered in each customer file (S4). When the inquiry for all the radio tags is ended, the weight values of the merchandise measured by the gravimeter are compared with the total weight values of the registered merchandise, and when a difference is beyond an allowable range, display for indicating incoincidence is operated (S8).
