To further enhance deterrence over information outflow by checking taking-out of information such as a file or the like by a client user even in an offline state of a client.

The system comprises a taken data monitoring control means for monitoring the state of the client computer, and storing, upon detection of access of copy or movement of data to a removable medium or the like, a duplicate of the data in a storage device within the client computer. The taken data monitoring control means transmits a response request to a server after storing the duplicate of the taken data, and transfers the duplicate of the taken data to the server when a response to the response request is returned from the server. When no response is returned, the control means guards the duplicate of taken data stored in the storage device within the client computer so as not to be deletable by the client user, and then periodically transmits the response request to the server.
