To provide a system for programming a customizable vehicle feature enabling a user to easily set programmable features in the vehicle.
The system for communicating the selection on setting a vehicle recognized by a user is constituted to receive the input to indicate the setting of the vehicle determined by the user, and has a programming device to be operated so as to store the input as the vehicle setting data. A first portable security device is operated to transmit the first ID code. A transceiver provided on the vehicle perform the data communication with the first portable security device and the programming device. The transceiver is operated to start the download of the vehicle setting data from the programming device based on the reception of the first ID code from the first portable security device.
