Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an efficiency of generating image and to dispense with feathering algorithm by creating a projection data array by using data collected by a helical scan and further creating a weight data array to assign a predetermined weight.
SOLUTION: A detector array 16 is formed from two rows of detector elements 18, each detector element 18 outputs attenuation amount of x-ray beam passing through a patient 15 for medical care by way of electric signals. A data obtaining system 24 in a control mechanism 20 transfers analog data from the detector elements 18 to digital signals, an image reconstruction device 25 receives this data, performs high image reconstruction, and creates a weighted data array to assign a weight. Then, a tomogram image of an object is formed by generating a projection data matrix from collected data, confirming a supplementary spaced/extrapolatory plane which exists between a first and a last projection planes and is not perpendicular to the z-axis, and by creating a weighted projection data matrix by using the projection data matrix against the plane.
