To provide a propulsion system equipped with an energy system, an auxiliary system, and a system controller.
The energy system 102 includes a bidirectional booster converter 112 connected to a direct current DC link and equipped with a plurality of input channels a and b, and first energy storage devices 108 and 110. The auxiliary system 104 includes auxiliary energy sources 110, 126, and 164, auxiliary loads 130, 134, and 158, and auxiliary load controllers 132, 136, and 160. The system controller 106 makes the auxiliary load controllers 132, 136, and 160 reduce power consumption of the auxiliary loads 130, 134, and 158 from the auxiliary energy sources 110, 126, and 164 and provide a boosted voltage to the DC link 114 by boosting the voltage provided by the auxiliary energy sources 110, 126, and 164.
