To provide a system for supporting a remote operation for smoothly performing operation support with excellent operability.
An operation system 4A and a terminal device 8B are connected via a communication line 6. An operator carries a magnetic card 30c for authentication to the terminal device 8B. A supporter carries a magnetic card 37b for authentication to the operation system 4A. So that authentication processing is automatically preformed and if the authentication is complete successfully, an application enabling support for an operation on the side of the terminal device 8B is activated by control from the side of the operation system 4A. Then, the system 4A is brought into a state possible to support the operation, transmits an endoscopic image and support information and can be used in an environment to support the operation.
