Abstract:
PURPOSE:To execute a test even when the formatting of a testing medium is not executed in advance by executing the formatting of the testing medium to a format, which corresponds to the type of the obtained testing medium and after that, executing a read and write test to this testing medium. CONSTITUTION:When the type of the testing medium and capacity per sector are inputted, an obtaining means 1 stores them to a data storing part 6 and a format means 2 executes the formatting of the testing medium based on the contents of the data storing part 6. A writing means 3 takes out writing data from a writing data table 9 and writes the data to the testing medium based on the contents of the data storing part 6. A reading means 4 reads the data, which are written to the testing medium, and saves the data to a reading data storing part 8 and a comparing means 5 compares the writing data with the reading data. Thus, even to the medium, in which the formatting is not executed yet, or the medium whose format contents are different, the test can be executed.
