To make a case unit unnecessary when information is recorded onto a tape-type recording medium to reduce the size and cost of a recording device and make the tape-type recording medium contained in the case unit when information is reproduced from the tape-type recording medium to improve operation efficiency in the reproducing state.

When information is reproduced from a tape-type recording medium 1, the tape-type recording medium wound in a pair of tape reels 2 and 2 is contained in a case unit 4 to compose a tape cassette 15 which is loaded onto the loading part of a tape reproducing device 29 for reproduction. When information is recorded onto the tape-type recording medium, the tape- type recording medium 1 wound in the pair of tape reels 2 and 2 is taken out of the case unit and, in that state, loaded onto the loading part of a tape recording device 16 so as to form a predetermined tape path.
