Title:
SYSTEM WHICH GIVES HALF-CUT COLOR PARTIALLY TO COLOR TELEVISION PICTURE AND SECURES HIGH-CONTRAST PICTURE BY DOUBLE SCANNING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS55603
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To realize a system which gives the half-cut color to the color television picture and thus secures a high-contrast picture by the double scanning.

CONSTITUTION: Primary scanning lines 0', 1' and 2' are scanned all at once with beams 5, 4 and 6 emitted from electron guns 1, 2 and 3 respectively; and then scanning lines 2', 3' and 4' are scanned by the same beams. The luminance of the red, green and blue is set to 1 for beam 4 emitted from gun 2 which scans scanning line 1' scanning lines 6', 7' and 8'; and the luminance is set to 0.5 for the red, green and blue of beams 5 and 6 emitted from guns 1 and 3 respectively. Beam 4 is emitted from guns 1 and 3 which never overlap each other, and beams 5 and 6 overlap each other to secure the luminance of 1. And the colors of scanning lines 1' and 3 overlap each other to secure the luminance of 1, and then the colors of lines 1' and 3 to give scanning to the intermediate man-made color via line 2'.
