Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically decide and correct a defective CAD data by extracting numeric data on machining shape elements on the basis of CAD data after a drawing check and generating APT shape data, and reading the APT shape data and generating NC data.
SOLUTION: A CAD drawing is generated and edited (1a) to generate the CAD data (1b). Then the CAD data are saved on an electronic catalyst (1c), and the saved CAD data are transferred to a drawing check system, which detects and corrects an error of the drawing and an error in size (1d). On the basis of the checked CAD data (1e), a production reference information generation system (1f) extracts numeric data on machining shape elements to generate the APT shape data (1g). Then the ATP shape data are read (1i) to generate NC data (1j). The NC data are sent to an NC machine tool and raw materials are machined (1K) to form a product (11). Therefore, the defect of the CAD data can be decided and corrected.
