Abstract:
The present invention provides a device and method for efficiently eliminating TOC from non-processed water. The present invention uses a device for removing TOC, said device comprising: a first electric regeneration type deionization device to which water to be processed is supplied; an ultraviolet oxidation device to which water processed by the first electric regeneration type deionization device is supplied; and a second electric regeneration type deionization device to which water processed by the ultraviolet oxidation device is supplied. The present invention also uses a method for removing TOC, said method comprising: (a) a step wherein water to be processed is supplied to a first electric regeneration type deionization device, and is subsequently processed thereby; (b) a step wherein processed water is supplied from the first electric regeneration type deionization device to an ultraviolet oxidation device, and is subsequently processed thereby; and (c) a step wherein processed water is supplied from the ultraviolet oxidation device to a second electric regeneration type deionization device, and is subsequently processed thereby.
