The table circular saw 1 with the upper table includes: a body having a saw blade and vertically movable on an upper portion of a base that places a workpiece; a safety cover provided on the body to be rotatable between a cover position for covering the saw blade on a lower side of the body and an open position for exposing a lower edge of the saw blade on a front side of the body by the vertical movement of the body; a blade edge plate having a slit where the saw blade enters by the downward movement of the body on an upper surface of the base; and the upper table disposed above the body through which an upper edge of the saw blade penetrates at a predetermined downward position of the body and along which the workpiece is slidable in the front and rear direction on an upper surface. An inlet 18 for chips is formed on the upper surface of the base 10 (11) forwardly of and partitioned from the slit 15, and chips generated by cutting the workpiece on the upper table 36 at the predetermined downward position of the body are guided to pass through an interior of the safety cover 31A, 31B at the open position and to flow toward the inlet for chips.
