To provide a thin tablet container with good operability that a tablet can be taken out by one hand.

The container is constituted of a container main body 1 provided with a guide channel 6 and a taking-out hole 3 in a side wall 5 and a bottom plate 7 with an inclined part 7a in the lower part and an opening/closing mechanism 10 for opening/closing the taking-out hole 3. The opening/closing mechanism 10 consists of a sheet spring part 11 provided by fixing a base end along the underside of the inclined part 7a, a connection sheet part 12 hinged on the end of the sheet spring part 11, a sliding sheet part 13 hinged on the end of the connection sheet part 12 and sliding along the inside of the side wall 5 and a slide lid 14 provided on a guide part 19 on the apex part of the sliding sheet part 13. The guide part 19 is freely slidably fitted in the guide channel 6 and the slide lid 14 is slid along the outside of the taking-out hole 3.
