PURPOSE: To act a floating force and suction force switchably on the work located on a table face, to execute the swift transfer and sure fixture of a work in series and to improve the workability.

CONSTITUTION: The suction side and exhaust side of a vacuum pump are switchably connected to the air chamber 4 of a table. On the table surface, a lot of substrates 13 and a face plate 12 attached freely turnably to this substrate 13 are arranged. In the case of the air chamber pressure being larger than the outside air pressure the exhaust of the pressure air is checked with a valve port 15 being closed by a ball 17. In the case of being smaller, the inflow of the outside air is checked with the other part of a valve port 16 being closed by the ball 17, a main passage 14 is communicated by a by-passing sub passage 20 and the air chamber 4 with the outside air and a suction force is caused. The ball 17 is to close one part of valve port 15 in the position projecting slightly from the table surface, injecting the pressure air upward with its sinking at the work W feeding time.
