Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the brake device of a table for a work which can rotate and brake a table for a work at a comparatively high speed without exerting any impact on a work on the table for a work and without changing the position of the work and can quietly stop its rotation in a given position.
CONSTITUTION: In the case of stopping the rotation of a table 15 for a work by a brake mechanism B, when compressed air is introduced in an air chamber 19, the compressed air is exerted on a piston 20 and the piston 20 is moved downward. Since a friction plate 22 is moved downward together with a piston plate 18 along with movement of the piston 20, the friction plate 22 is brought into contact with a brake disc 31. Through such contact between the friction plate 22 and the brake disc 31, rotation of the table 15 for a work supported by a table shaft 14 is braked. Further, buffering operation of a shock absorber mechanism S is applied on a stopper 33 at the back of the table 15 for a work rotation of which is braked and rotation of the table for a work is quietly stopped in a given position.
