To provide a table for which a table plate is adjusted to a desired height and used even in the state of sitting in a chair or a wheelchair or in the state of sitting on a bed, the table plate is not lowered even when the table plate is pressed strongly from above, movement is facilitated and an abdominal part or the like is prevented from being pressurized by the table plate at the time of use.

The table comprises: the table plate 2; a pair of members 3 for extension and contraction provided on both sides of the table plate 2 and provided with holes 11 which can be positioned at every prescribed interval by being vertically moved together with the table plate 2; a pair of side part support members 5 provided with holes 13 corresponding to the holes 11 of the respective members 3 for the extension and contraction for vertically movably supporting the respective members 3 for the extension and contraction respectively and fixing both members 3 for the extension and contraction at a desired height position through fixing tools 4 to be inserted into the holes 13 and 11; a lower support member 6 fixed to the lower part of the respective side part support members 5 for connecting both side part support members 5; and a plurality of casters 7 provided on the appropriate parts of the lower support member 6.
