A table includes legs 4; a top plate 2 equipped above the legs 4 such that the top plate 2 can be raised and reclined; and a modesty panel 20 disposed under a part opposite to the seating side of the top plate 2. One end of each modesty plate connection member 16 is rotatably connected to an upper part of the modesty plate 20, the other end of the modesty connection member 16 is rotatably connected to a lower part of the top plate 2, and the one end of the modesty plate connection member 16 is not positioned between the top plate 2 and each leg 4, so that the modesty plate 20 is not positioned between the top plate 2 and the legs 4.
