Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tablet printing device and printing method which can improve the visibility of printing and the like printed on a tablet surface and improve public recognition of a tablet provider.SOLUTION: A tablet printing device 1 includes: a conveyance disk C which conveys a tablet 3 while suctioning and supporting a side surface 5 of the tablet 3; and ink jet heads 4, 6 which can perform printing processing to the side surface 5 and front and rear surfaces 7a, 7b of the tablet 3 conveyed by the conveyance disk C. The tablet 3 is transferred from a conveyance disk A to a conveyance disk B by a tablet delivery part 8a and is transferred from the conveyance disk B to the conveyance disk C by a tablet delivery part 8b. The tablet 3 is suctioned and supported in a state where a large portion of the side surface 5 and the entire front and rear surfaces 7a, 7b are exposed by a suction hole 28 formed on an end surface Xc of the conveyance disk C. A provider name and the like are printed on the side surface 5 of the tablet 3 by the ink jet head 4, and active ingredient name and volume are printed on the front and rear surfaces 7a, 7b by the ink jet head 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
