To provide a cosmetic free from the troubles of crushing, pulverizing and scattering in use and convenient to carry by forming baby powder, body powder, face powder, etc., composed mainly of talc powder to a specific form.

Various kinds of powder composed mainly of talc powder are formed in the form of tablet. The raw material for the cosmetic powder preferably contains about 50-90wt.% of talc having particle diameter of 1-70μm. The powder is tableted in dry state at e.g. 100-1,000kg/cm2 pressure to a tablet having a diameter of 5-30mm, a thickness of 1-7mm and a weight of 0.1-3g to be used at a time. The tablet is packed in a small pouch for the carrying convenience. For example, a tablet 1 is placed in a pouch composed of a releasing sheet 2, a porous sheet 3 and a back sheet 4. The pouch is more preferably provided with a carrying part 5. The cosmetic tablet can easily be crushed to powder by pressing the pouch from above and the produced powder can be scattered to the skin through the porous sheet by removing the releasing sheet from the pouch and using the pouch as a puff.
