Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make it possible to display a food and preserve a hot food by forming a tray from a crystallized polyethylene terephthalate resin, forming a cover from a amorphous polyethylene terephthalate resin and connecting the tray and the transparent plastic cover integrally by a hinge.
CONSTITUTION: In the new tableware which can be used in an electronic oven, a transparent cover element 2 is connected to an opaque or colored tray element 3 by means of a hinge element 4. The cover element 2 and the tray element 3 have channels 7 engaged with each other for sealing both tableware elements surely in a connecting area 5. Furthermore, there is included an engaging element 8 for closing the cover element 2 and the tray element 3. The cover element 2 of the tableware 1 is formed of amorphous and non-nuclear PET. The amorphous cover element 2 is transparent, so that a display of a food contained in the tableware can be made. The tray element 3 is formed of crystalline and nuclear PET and it is opaque. The tray element 3 maintains its rigidity at a high temperature.
