PURPOSE: To make invisible minute flaws generated in the manufacturing process and handling and to improve the manufacturing yield or to maintain the beauty by forming fine many fine recessed parts or projecting parts on the surfaces of a tabular product of noble metal or a noble metal alloy to make these lusterless.
CONSTITUTION: The many fine regular or irregular recessed parts or projecting parts are formed on the metallic mold surfaces 21a and 22a. These upper and lower metallic molds 21 and 22 are opposed to each other on the upper and lower surfaces of a noble metal plate S. The clearance D1 between the opposed surfaces of the upper and lower metallic molds is pressed up to the slightly shorter distance than the thickness D2 of the plate S. Consequently, the recessed parts or projecting parts of the metallic mold surfaces 21a and 22a are transferred to the upper and lower surfaces of the plate S.
