Title:
TACTILE SWITCH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002237233
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To reduce the cost of a tactile switch used for a portable telephone, a camera, a facsimile and the like, by solving such problems as impulse noise and the like caused by high rigidity of a contact spring when actuating it, and by simplifying the structure of a circuit board.

The contact spring 12 forming the component of the tactile switch and making click-motion is formed into a shape having plural legs on the outer periphery of a shallow spherical part. Since the contact spring is thereby brought into contact with a first fixed contact 5 only at the leg spots, the contact pressure is increased so as to secure continuity, the contact spring is actuated by combination of beam actions of the spherical part and the legs, the contact spring gets moderately rigid even if it is small, and no impact noise is produced. In addition, conventionally, a fixed contact 6 in the central part is connected to a terminal electrode 9 on the lower surface of a circuit board 1 by providing a through hole with a small diameter on the board, however, since the space between the legs of the spring contact is not brought into contact with the upper surface of the board, tactile switch can be structured without using the through hole by passing a conductive pattern through this portion.
