Abstract:

To easily acquire information about a desired article without respect to a location.

An ID tag 6 offering tag information by wireless is directly attached to the article 5 used by a person. By a predetermined operation, a portable terminal 1 acquires the tag information from the peripheral ID tag 6, and on the basis of the tag information, puts a query about the ID tag 5 to a tag management server 2. The tag management server 2 provides tag management information matching the query for the portable terminal 1. In this way, a maker of the article 5, from which the ID tag 6 is read, can be known in the portable terminal 1. If details of the article 5 are desired, a query can be placed to a commodity management server 3 on the basis of the tag management information from the tag management server 2. In response to the query, the commodity management server 3 provides the commodity information about the article 5 to the portable terminal 1.
