PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bobbin winder surface treating machine for treating the surface of even a bobbin winder having a surface layer thread wound on a bobbin end part.
SOLUTION: By a tail treating method executed before surface treating, a surface layer thread Ya wound on the bobbin end part of a bobbin winder P and the tail thread Yt of a bunch winding section B are peeled by a peeling claw 7 and sucked by a suction nozzle 6, the peeled surface layer thread Ya is pressure-contacted with a pressure-contact body 16 by the suction nozzle 6, the surface layer thread Ya between the pressure-contact body 16 and the suction nozzle 6 is cut and the tail thread Yt sucked into the suction nozzle 6 is wound on the bobbin end by several times. A bobbin winder surface treating machine includes a tail treating mechanism having the peeling claw 7 and the suction nozzle 6 in the outside of the bobbin end of the bobbin winder P, and the peeling claw 7 is moved to a close position for scooping out the thread of the bobbin end part or a retreating position away from it. A surface layer thread fixing mechanism having the pressure-contact body 16 and a cutter 17 is provided in the side part of the bobbin winder P and the pressure-contact body 16 is freely moved to a close position for pressing the surface of the bobbin winder or a position away from it.
