Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tailstock device for clamping a flange work without causing a step in working surface in inside and outside diameter working with one machine to reduce a required floor area, and a simultaneous inside and outside diameter working lathe using the tailstock device.
SOLUTION: A spindle center 2 having a conical surface 2a formed to come into contact with an external angle circle W1c of an annular recess W1b of the end face 1a of the flange work W1 is mounted on a spindle 1. This tailstock device 11 is provided with a support 7 for supporting a hollow tailstock center 10 having a through hole 10b for passing an inside diameter working tool T2 concentric with the shaft center of the spindle 1 and a conical surface 10a coming into contact with the exterior angle circle W1c of the flange work W1 to rotate around the through hole 10b and supporting the inside diameter working tool T2 to go in and out of the through hole 10b. An outside diameter working tool T1 is mounted on a first tool rest 15, and the inside diameter working tool T2 is mounted on a second tool rest 21. Thus, simultaneous inside and outside diameter working is performed.
