PURPOSE: To carry out a taking off operation of a article to be taken off piled in a plurality of stages and simultaneous removal of a spacer member by providing a clamp device and a pressing device through an elevating device on the lower part of a supporting member which is capable of moving back and forth and right and left freely.
CONSTITUTION: At a supporting member 10 provided at the lower part of a carriage body 22 which is capable of moving back and forth and right and left on a rail, a movable member 31 is provided through an elevating device 30. At the movable member 31, a clamp device 40 for an article to be taken off 3 and a pressing device 55 which is capable of brought into contact with a spacer member 4 from above are provided. The article to be taken off 3 piled in a storage container 1 through the spacer member 4 is taken off from the center part of the uppermost stage by holding and elevating motions of the clamp device 40 and delivered to a predetermined position. In taking off the center part after the second stage, the spacer member 4 is clamped by the pressing device 55 from over and under and taken off together with the article to be taken off 3 simultaneously so as to be automatically removed.
