To provide a talc dressing method in a dry state capable of enhancing the quality of a talc component by removing impurity components such as an unnecessary carbonate ore from a raw material ore of talc.
The raw material ore is passed through a plurality of stages of crushing processes to be forwarded as talc powder reduced in the content of impurities. First, the raw material ore is screened to remove a part of a large particle component containing many impurities and the screened ore is subjected to grinding treatment by a roller mill and a micron mill. Coarse particles, in a state that the impurities are concentrated, are screened in respective grinding processes to be discarded and the impurities are prevented from being finely ground to an excessive degree in the next grinding process.
