Abstract:
Each bracket (26, 27) is in the form of a strut or stay, its outer profile (20) being curved, straight or any other. Its cross section is round, square or similar. The end faces (23) are flat and form planes at right angles to each other, each having a dovetail slot (21) in it. Brackets are joined together by locking pieces (34), each being shaped as a double dovetail and fitting in bracket ends. After assembling together, the complete strut is fixed onto an existing surface by an adaptor (29) fitting in a dovetail at one end. The remaining end has a similar adaptor for the shelf.
