PURPOSE: To rupture the tongues by adding the light motion of a wrist to a lid by displacing each of internal dogs circumferentially by a distance sufficient to ensure that the adjacent tongues are compressed rather than stretched when each inner dog passes over an outer dog during the capping operation.
CONSTITUTION: A lid includes an upper face 1, a skirt 2, a safety unsealing band 3 connected with the skirt 2 by an easy-fold means 4, teeth 5 surrounding a lower edge of the skirt 2, and teeth 6 for surrounding an upper edge of the band 3. The lid further has a ratchet type dog 7 mounted inside of the band 3 to be co-operated with a ratchet type dog 8 outside of a neck of a container body. A position of the inner dog 7 on the band 3 is changed so that the dog 7 is substantially located in the middle between the adjacent tongues 4, and close to the locking position of the teeth 5, 6, whereby the locking position of the teeth 5, 6 are determined so that the sharp edges or shoulders of the adjacent tongues 7 are located close to a starting point of the inclination of the teeth 6 on the band 3.
