Title:
TANK HAVING COMPONENT PART WITHIN
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004338697
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To attach component parts at their accurate positions in a tank.

This invention is a fuel tank designed to have its component parts (2) within itself, mainly for use as a fuel tank to be installed in a vehicle. The tank is equipped with a tank wall (12), and a shaft (14), fitted with the first edge (12) and the second edge (21). A base unit (16) is installed on the first end (18) of the shaft (14), while the base unit (16) is equipped with a welding area (22) on its surface facing the tank wall (12). On the said welding area (22), welding materials (24) are placed for welding the shaft (14) to the tank wall (12). Component parts are, on the other hand, attached to the second edge (21) of the shaft (14). In one embodiment of this invention, the base unit (16) is wider than the welding area (22), such that when the peripheral area (26) of the base unit (16) is attached to the tank wall (12), it is formed in such a way as it is partially placed on the tank wall (12).
