PURPOSE: To prevent production of bubbles accompanying outflow of liquid and thereby the outer wall of a tank from stain due to the bubbles in a device for filling the tank with the liquid through a filling pipe by bending the lower portion of the filling pipe at a right angle to extend an opening of the lower end along the bottom wall of the tank.

CONSTITUTION: A tank 1 is mounted on the car body of a tank lorry and has the interior divided into a plurality of chambers by partition walls 2. In this case, a filling pipe 3 connected to a filling device in a loading base has its intermediate portion 31 installed vertically adjacent the interior of the tank 1. And the filling pipe 3 has the upper portion projected from the upper portion of the tank 1 and provided on the upper end with an opening 32, and the lower portion bent at a right angle to extend a horizontal portion 34 through a bend 33 and provided at the end with an opening 35. When the filling pipe 3 and a lid of a manhole 4 are opened and liquid is introduced into the filling pipe 3, the liquid smoothly flows out of the opening 35 at the lower end along the bottome wall of the tank 1. Thus, bubbles are not produced accompanying the outflow of the liquid.
