To provide a tank structure of oil cooler and a manufacturing method thereof, with reduced cost by enhancing the efficiency of a preparation work for brazing, and forming joints to be easy to integrally braze.
The tank structure is adapted so that a fitting groove to the joint end of the other halved cylindrical part is cut in the joint end of one halved cylindrical part, and the outer edge part in the periphery of the fitting groove cut part of the joint end is formed so that the length from the fitting groove deepest part to the tip edge is longer than that in the inside edge part, and a brazing groove is cut at the upper angle part in braking of the fitting groove deepest part. The tank manufacturing method comprises setting a brazing material to the brazing groove formed in the deepest part of the fitting groove cut in the joint end of the halved cylindrical part, fitting the joint end having no fitting groove of the other halved cylindrical part to this fitting groove with the brazing material, keeping and fixing both the mutually fitted halved cylindrical parts in a cylindrical shape, and molding in a cylindrical shape by in-furnace brazing.
