Title:
TAP-BREAK DETECTION METHOD, MULTIPLE-SPINDLE TAPPING DEVICE, AND SPINDLE UNITS USED FOR THE MULTIPLE-SPINDLE TAPPING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017193007
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tap-break detection method for multiple-spindle tapping, a multiple-spindle tapping device, and spindle units used for the multiple-spindle tapping device capable of avoiding an increase in size of the device and complication and lowering of processing efficiency, efficiently detecting break of each tap individually, and preventing occurrence of a large amount of defects (unfinished articles).SOLUTION: A tap-break detection method comprises: fixing two or more master metals 3 to an intermediate support body 12 between a driving source 10 and a holding base 11 in a mutually insulated state; providing an insulation connection part 4 in an intermediate part on the driving source 10 side of the male thread part 20 of each master spindle 2; providing detection means 5 for identifiably detecting an energizing state between each master metal 3 and the holding base 11 through a work-piece W for each master metal 3; and determining a tap T attached to the master spindle 2 is broken when there is a master metal 3, a state of which is not detected as energized by the detection means 5 during tapping of the work-piece W.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
