PURPOSE: To run a tape stably, by moving a cassettel holder in paralle between a cassette insertion/extraction position and a loading position, and holding reels with displaceable pressing pieces in the holder.
CONSTITUTION: A cassette 3 is inserted into the cassette holder 4 drawn out of a case 1b (as shown by a dotted line) and the holder 4 is pressed in a direction Z2 to be stored in the case 1b. As a holder 3 is lowered, levers 8 energizing members 15, and locking members 16 at both side parts operate associatively to press up the engagement parts 5b of reel pressure force members 5, and their tip parts 5a abut on the reels 3a and 3b inserted into reel turntables 7. The locking member 16 restrains the holder 4 from moving moving in directions Z1 and Z2 through a lever 8 after the holder 3 is lowered to hold the cassette 3 at the tape loading position. The energizing members 15 are released from being restrained from rotating and the engagement parts 5b are pressed up by an unshown spring as shown by the arrow Z1, running the tape stably while the tip parts 5a restrain the reels 3a and 3b.
