Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce cost by providing a reel pressing spring bent in the direction of length and width in the case of a tape cassette for a video tape recorder, and storing the reel to be energized in one direction. CONSTITUTION:Tape reels 13, 14 and the reel pressing spring 12 are stored between an upper case 15 and a lower case 16. The reel pressing spring 12 is bent in the direction of length and width. Fitting parts 19, 20 to the upper case 15 are constituted of cut up pieces and provided with fitting holes. By such a reel pressing spring, window parts conventionally provided around fitting parts 19, 20 of the reel pressing spring are eliminated. Decrease of spring pressure caused by elimination of the window parts is supplemented by rise of internal stress caused by bending in the direction of width to fulfill the function. A hoop member is used to manufacture the reel pressing spring 12. The bearing can be manufactured only by bending in the direction of length and width and bending of fitting parts 19, 20 after piercing by a press. Thus, the cost can be reduced.
