Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape connecting part check apparatus to judge whether the attaching condition of a joint tape for connecting a leader tape in the trailer side and the magnetic tape is adequate or not.
SOLUTION: A detecting rod 20 is arranged facing to the winding path of a leader tape 4T in the trailer side. The detecting rod 20 is movably supported by a holder 21. The holder 21 can swing around a shaft 31. The detecting rod 20 is biased by a spring 23 in a direction where it is pressed in contact with the leader tape 4T. If the attaching condition of the joining tape 11 is inadequate, the adhesive surface 11a is bonded to the detection rod 20. As a result, since the holder 21 is caused to swing against the spring 23 by a tape winding force, this displacement is detected by a sensor to detect defective attachment.
