Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape cutter that, in a single operation, doubles a coil-side cut end of a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape and forces these two folds to stick to each other so that a tab-like portion is formed at the tape end.
SOLUTION: Uncoiling a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape A rotatably supported on a core shaft 8 on a main body 2 and cutting the tape A with a cutting edge 3 leaves the coil-side cut end of the tape A stabbed with prongs 13. Operating a lever 6 to rotate a roller 4 first draws the prong-stabbed portion of the adhesive tape A in between the roller 4 and a tape receiver 5 where it doubles, and next presses a projection 14 on it to cause the two folds to stick to each other.
