Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the program rebooting method and program rebooting device of a microcomputer capable of adopting a general purpose one-chip microcomputer in a highly reliable computer system and performing reprogramming even without using a special interface when a fault is generated in a built-in memory.
SOLUTION: By detecting the fault of the built-in memory M by the watchdog timer Wa of one one-chip microcomputer A, changing the mode of one side based on signals from the other one-chip microcomputer B, stopping the watchdog timer Wa and transferring a program from the other side to one side, one one-chip microcomputer A where the fault is generated obtains the support of the other one-chip microcomputer B and shifts and restores the mode by itself and the application of the one-chip microcomputer in the computer system of high reliability is made possible.
