Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a tape feeder capable of simplifying work for substituting a new tape for a tape having only short remaining length, improving operability and securing reliability.
CONSTITUTION: A driving motor 38 to be a driving source for a carrier 94 for holding a tape 92 delivered from a tape feeding part 93 and carrying the tape 92 to a prescribed direction can optionally rotate in both forward and reverse directions so as to carry the tape 92 by forward rotation and reversely feed the tape 92 from the carrier 94 to the tape feeding part 3 by reverse rotation. The remaining length of the tape in the feeding part 93 is detected by an end detecting body 34, and when prescribed remaining length is detected, a lamp 30 is turned on. When an opening/closing cover 26 is opened, a cover detecting body 31 detects the open and instructs the motor 38 to drive reverse rotation and the end part of the tape 92 is automatically discharged from the carrier 94.
