Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate sepn. of single fibers at a terminal so that branching and connecting are facilitated by forming colored layers of UV curing type acrylate contg. 1-10wt.% org. polysiloxane compd. having a functional group in the molecule and having >=90% gel fraction. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of optical fibers 5 each of which is provided with an inside layer covering 2 consisting of a UV curing type resin around around an optical fiber 1 and an outside layer covering 3 having the hardness higher than the hardness of the inside layer covering 2 and consisting of the UV curing type resin and has the colored layer 4 on the outside layer covering 3 are juxtaposed in plane shape and the integral covering 6 consisting of the UV curing type resin is formed thereon. The UV curing type acrylate contg. 1-10wt.% org. polysiloxane compd. having the functional group in the molecule and having >=90% gel fraction thereof is used as the material of the colored layers 4 in this case. The single fibers are thereby easily separated from the tape fiber and the connecting operation is facilitated.
