Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer capable of notifying a user of a message when a tape cartridge having cartridge characteristics not in conformity with recommended cartridge characteristics of a template used at the time of printing.SOLUTION: A tape printer comprises: a cartridge information acquisition section acquiring cartridge information indicating cartridge characteristics of a tape cartridge mounted; a recommended cartridge information acquisition section acquiring recommended cartridge information indicating recommended cartridge characteristics set to a template used at the time of printing; a determination section determining whether or not the cartridge characteristics indicated by the cartridge information acquired is in conformity with the recommended cartridge characteristics indicated by the recommended cartridge information acquired; and a notification section notifying a user of a message when the cartridge characteristics are determined not to be in conformity with the recommended cartridge characteristics.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
