To provide a tape printer capable of allowing a user to visually observe that a printed tape can be recycled, a program, and a tape cassette.
A detected result from a cassette detection section is acquired (S61). In the case where a kind of a tape is of a recyclable type (S64: YES), a recycle mark addition flag region 143 in a RAM 104 is confirmed. Only when it is set that the recycle mark is to be added, a print image of the recycle mark with a recycle frame or half-tone dot meshing added thereon is formed to be merged with a print image of a text, and then a print image for a recyclable tape is formed (S65). In the case where the kind of the tape is not of a recyclable type (S64: NO), a print image for non-recyclable tape which is only text data or having a normal frame added thereto is formed (S66) irrespective of the presence or absence of addition setting of the recycle mark.
