To provide a tape printer capable of safely and surely discharging a tape to a portion near the printer at an adequate speed.
Printing is performed on a tape 9 accommodated in a tape cassette 7 by means of a thermal head 23, and then the tape 9 is cut by a fixed blade 40 and a movable blade 41. In the case where the tape 9 is discharged out by means of a driving roller 51 and a pressing roller 52, the tip portion of the tape 9 is rotated to gradually face upward when the tape 9 is conveyed by means of the driving roller 51 and the pressing roller 52 because a bisector 81 equally dividing the width of the tape 9 in the vertical direction is positioned upper than a bisector 80 of the driving roller 51 and the pressing roller 52 by a distance L2, so that the tape 9 is discharged outside of the printer through a tape discharge hole 11 in a condition that the tape 9 is held diagonally.
