Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printer capable of detecting a type of a tape cartridge when the tape cartridge having a different recessed part depth of a base end side portion being the portion closer to a base end side than a base end part of a hook on an outer peripheral surface of a peripheral wall part among a plurality of types of tape cartridges is attached thereto.SOLUTION: A tape printer comprises: a cartridge attachment part 5 to which a tape cartridge 100 comprising a first case 100 having a peripheral wall part where a first hook 114 protrudes from a leading end surface and having a different recessed part depth of a first base end side portion 116 being the portion closer to a base end side than a base end part of the first hook 114 on an outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall part among a plurality of types of tape cartridges 100 and a second case 120 having a first hook reception part 124 with which the first hook engages is attached; and a first base end side portion detection sensor 81 of which output varies according to the recessed part depth of the first base end side portion 116 in a state where the tape cartridge 100 is attached to the cartridge attachment part 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
