PURPOSE: To obtain a taped component feeding device holding always a normal attitude by a method wherein an edge part is formed into the form of a projecting curve and curve parts or linear parts slanted to the edge part for peeling an adhesion part are respectiely provided on both sides of each housing chamber.
CONSTITUTION: An edge part 4b of a press plate 4 is formed into roughly a semicircle and a peeling part 4c, which contacts an adhesion part 3a of a cover tape 3, is brought into contact to the tape 3 at an angle shown by an angle dimension line θ. Moreover, a gap 5 is made narrower than the width of electronic components 2 due to the formation of the semicircular edge part 4b. As the tape 3 is continuously stripped off its adhesion part 3a by the peeling part 4c which comes into contact with the tape 3 at the angle θ of inclination, the component 2 in each housing chamber 1a is not made to move and is fed to a prescribed component feeding position while holding a normal attitude. The edge part 4b is formed into roughly a semicircle, but if the peeling part 4c has an inclination to the adhesion part 3a, a projected curve may be used and the peeling part 4c may be constituted of a straight line.
